Glucosamine, MSM & Arnica Lotion - by NOW® Foods. - 8 oz. lotion - Liposome Lotion Formulated in a fast-acting and easily absorbed liposome lotion. It includes 10% of the highest purity level MSM in this formula. Glucosamine Sulfate, the most effective joint supplement, is also included. NOW® Glucosamine/MSM/Arnica Liposome Lotion is a synergistic blend of joint and skin support factors delivered via liposome technology. Liposomes are bi_layered, membranous spheres that are similar in almost every way to small cells. They can carry almost any active ingredient, and can deliver their cargo all at once or release it slowly over time. Research for the use of liposomes for topical application was pioneered by Mezei and his colleagues during the early 1980's. Recent advances in liposome delivery systems have improved the ability of these phospholipid vessels to deliver these vital nutrients through the epidermis and deeper layers of tissue.
Suggested Usage: Massage NOW® Glucosamine, MSM & Arnica Liposome Lotion into the skin as needed. NOW® Glucosamine and NOW® MSM capsules or tablets may be taken internally for synergistic effects.

Glucosamine is derived from glucose and glutamine (an amino acid). It is used to produce substances in the body that attract and bind water into tissues, making them more resilient. It is especially important to maintain properly functioning joint structures.
How is glucosamine manufactured?
Glucosamine is produced by removing the proteins and minerals from the shells of shrimp and crab. This is done primarily in China, with some coming from other Asian countries, including Thailand and Malaysia. Condrotin is derived from bovine tissue from cattle. As with all of our raw materials, we screen Chondroitin very carefully for the presence of any undesirable microbes. NOW’s state_of_the_art analytical lab has developed a method of testing chondroitin, which is currently being verified by independent labs around the world and is expected to become an Official Method used to test all products containing chondroitin sulfate.
